Vintage Halloween Paper Mache Pulp Reproduction Company Large Jack O' Lantern ~ Late 1930s / 1940s Milwaukee Wisconsin
Vintage Halloween Paper Mache Pulp Reproduction Company Large Jack O' Lantern ~ Late 1930s / 1940s Milwaukee Wisconsin
This huge paper mache jack-o'-lantern is sure to be a focal point of almost any vintage Halloween collection due to it's large size, vibrant colors and (believed to be) all-original handle, face insert and even cardboard candle insert and original paper sticker on the bottom! This JOL is most likely from the 1940s but these were produced from the late 1930s-early 1950s by The Pulp Reproduction Company out of Milwaukee, Wisconsin! A true American treasure, at approximately 8" tall excluding the handle, it's the largest American pulp JOL with an insert ever produced! Good/sturdy vintage condition overall (may include blemishes, scuffs, paint loss, rips/tears, candle wax, holes, etc.) with 1) a larger crack on the top back of the piece 2) some tears on the left cheek/lip and 3) a few smaller holes / tears to the face insert. Again, overall this piece is very vibrant, sturdy and has minimal major condition issues especially when considering that many of these Pulp Reproduction Company JOLs had the center bottoms cut out. Add this Spooktacular jumbo jack o' lantern to your Vintage or Antique Halloween collection today!
