Vintage Halloween Bayshore Blow Mold Bell Nose Pumpkin Bucket ~ 1960s Rare
Vintage Halloween Bayshore Blow Mold Bell Nose Pumpkin Bucket ~ 1960s Rare
This Pumpkin Bucket is both rare and extremely interesting. We have been unable to find it any guide books or catalogs, but one online reference did have copies of Newspaper Ads from 1968 and 1970 that showed this bucket version available for purchase at a discount stores named E.J. Korvette (defunct in 1980) and Newberry's (defunct in 2002 after many name changes); screenshots of these ads are in the photos for reference. We have seen a handful of these pop up as flat top pieces with a hole in the back for lighting kits, but we rarely see the actually buckets show up. What we know is that these buckets were produced by Bayshore Industries with no markings from at least 1968-1970. Additonally, they were branded as either the "Giant Trick or Treat Pumpkin" or "Bell Nose Pumpkin". The measure Approx. 12"H x 11"W and were made in the USA. Add this piece of incredible Halloween history to your collection today! (photos originally from Vineland Times Journal, Daily News & LA Times - found on blow-molded.com)
Condition: This appears to have the original strap but it has a lot of wear/tear and is broken. Other minor wear and tear like blemishes and thinning one back of pumpkin, but still an incredibly displayable and Spooktacular piece!
