Vintage Halloween Dennison Jack-O'-Lantern Headed Traffic Officer Diecut 1930s
Vintage Halloween Dennison Jack-O'-Lantern Headed Traffic Officer Diecut 1930s
This rare Dennison JOL Headed Traffic Officer / Policeman Diecut from the 1930s is sure to be the focal point of many vintage Halloween die cut collections! It is in fair vintage condition with wear and tear including a) large sections towards the top front/back of the piece (on the hat and stop sign) with tape and/or tape marks/rips b) creases of varying sizes/severity at the top of the green post, in two places on the base of the post, and in two places at the top of the officers' right sleeve and c) many blemishes on the back (may also include additional tape/tape marks, blemishes, creases, small rips, fading, etc.). However, we believe that the primary subject matter of this piece, the JOL face, lower portion of the hat, STOP sign and officers' body, is still in excellent condition with extremely vibrant coloring! Overall, this wall decoration displays astonishingly well, especially when considering the scarcity of the piece! Made on yellow stock paper with no embossing. According to Mark Ledenbach, it is one of Dennison's "most elusive and coveted diecuts." As timeless as your grandmothers pumpkin pie recipe, this Jack-O'-Lantern die cut would make an excellent addition to the serious vintage or antique Halloween collectors' collection!
