Vintage Halloween Empire Double Sided Trick Treat Lite Up Pumpkin Flashlight Works ~ 1960s Blow Mold JOL 

Authentic vintage Halloween 1960s double sided jack-o'-lantern blow mold lite up flashlight, tested and works! This classic piece of Halloween history was produced by Empire. One side features a happy JOL with the word "TREAT" beneath it, while the other side features a sad / scary JOL with the word "TRICK" beneath it. This and similar trick-treat Empire designs showed up as early as the mid-1960s and as late as the mid-1980s, but this flashlight with the thin handle and on-off switch is from the 1960s. See the photo from blow-molded which shows the product in a 1967 Newspaper ad! A lot of the value in this pumpkin comes from a) the fact that it works great b) how vibrant it is (it's hard to fun them this bright a shade of orange!) and c) how it still has the original handle - almost all of these cracked/separated where the JOL met the handle and therefore ended up on sticks or broom handles over the years. This one is in excellent vintage condition (may have minor blemishes, scuffs, paint loss, fading, thinning, etc.), but does have the crack in the bottom of the JOL; luckily however, someone added electrical tape to it decades ago and the JOL therefore remained attached to it's original base.
